🔥Dawn Staley and Dan Hurley, the G.O.A.T.s right now as the coaches of the reigning National Champions in college basketball, have spent a lot of time at their pre-championship game interviews and post-game pressers speaking about…parents! They shared at great length why they

Parents-a must listen. UConn head coach says they spend “a lot” of their time vetting the parents. Culture is everything! Are you helping? Are you building something? Are you additive? Or are you tearing down, adding toxicity and teaching your kids that they are the only one that

From NBA players to the UPS guy to my own daughters, EVERYONE is talking about and watching women's basketball. We are witnessing history in the making...hopefully. And for some of those little 👀watching, this surge in women's sports has even greater significance.

UCONN women advanced to their 23rd Final Four! And the fact they did it without many of their star players makes it even more remarkable. This season alone, they lost:

Freshman forward Jana El Alfy (Achilles)
Junior guard Azzi Fudd

This was a good day.

Even still, I see in my face a little worry, an unease. Maybe I was still feeling the stress of the game?

What a great list. I would add 'Thank you'. Gratitude is always the way to go for players, parents, admins., groundskeepers, refs, scorekeepers, snack shop workers....on and on. It takes a whole community for one game to happen, it really does.

is in a league of her own and what she has done for women's sports in two seasons is nothing short of miraculous. But how does someone get so good??? Well a lot of reasons, but typically it starts with a passion.
👉🏼Can you make your child passionate about a sport?

Always a pleasure to talk with Jess Grose about the pitfalls of the American approach to kids' sports: they're too expensive, too serious, exclude late bloomers, and distort college admissions. Why So Many Kids Are Priced Out of Youth Sports nytimes.com/2024/02/14/opi…
