Bird song of Sefton Park 🐦🎶

The song thrush sings at sunset while Noctule bats are out of hibernation and darting around the lake catching insects which can only mean one thing…bat detecting season has started!🦇📡

A rabbit has been found and caught near Sefton Park. It cannot stay with the person who rescued it as they have dogs at home.

Can anyone help find it a secure place at an animal rescue place locally?

We’ll get some research done on this but in the meantime, we’re doing a bioblitz of the park in/05/24 (Sefton Park’s birthday) sampling water, soil, bird and insect ID and a bee walk!

Getting close to hopefully finding the culprits who destroyed a significant tree in Festival Gardens.

Such a sad act of vandalism at Festival Gardens. Why anyone would do this, is beyond any good persons view on public spaces.

Such a terrible shame. Hopefully those responsible will do the right thing & own up. Public spaces are all we have❤️

Campaigners say Liverpool City Council plans to place 100 parks and green spaces in trust for ever is taking too long to roll out. Since the pledge was made in 2021 only one park (Faulkner Sq) has been placed in trust. Read more here:
