Six RAF Typhoons are ready to fly NATO enhanced Air Policing missions out of a Romanian Air Base near Constanța. ✈️

In the Romania-hosted ceremony with international attendance, RAF 140 Expeditionary Air Wing received the mission ready certificate.

Typhoons from IX (B) Squadron recently arrived in Romania along with 140 Expeditionary Air Wing in preparation of Operation Biloxi, an enhanced air policing mission in support of the UK’s NATO contribution. 🤝

The station hosted the Minister for Defence People and Families, Rt Hon Andrew Murrison MP MP, today.

The Minister was briefed on current operations, and met with #TeamLossie personnel and families to talk about their experiences of service life.

#TeamLossie Typhoons from IX(B) Squadron have been training alongside F35s from 617 Sqn.

The training allowed our Typhoons to practice Agile Combat Employment - operating away from their home station.
