19 years ago today, renowned Igbo highlife singer, Nelly Uchendu passed on. Hailed from Umuchu, Anambra state. Her 1976 song “Love Nwantinti” shot her to prominence. On this day in 2005, she died of cancer in an Enugu hospital, aged 55.
