The Library Square- old plants out and new plants in.
The Brick Bed by the Barbers Shop- planted up with geraniums.
All the barrier troughs watered and their reservoirs filled!

The plants were taken out of the troughs and the brick bed by the Barbers Shop- but we have relocated the polyanthus to our very kindly donated allotment, we will grow them on and keep them healthy so that we can reuse them in the barrier troughs next year. Here they are!

What are the coping strategies of other ‘in bloom’ groups in view of social distancing, any groups out there still working or are things on hold ?

We may not be able to carry on with our blooming projects at the moment, but we would like to share with you some photos from members of our group who are finding plenty of time to attend to their own gardens ☺

There will be no Yorkshire in Bloom competition in 2020 either, but we will do our best for PUDSEY when we can!

For the time being we have cancelled our indoor monthly meetings, but we are still enjoying the great outdoors, and will continue to work in small groups on our tidy Tuesdays 😊

Pleased to say we have had a very productive morning....one group refurbed the bug hotel in the park and prepared the ground for wild flower seed sowing. Another group tackled the hydrangea pruning in the Lowtown garden.

We are entering the Yorkshire in bloom competition again this year (after a two year break), and hoping to keep hold of the Gold award we won in 2017 !😊 Check our website and keep up to date on our fb page.
