Nobody's talking about the Big 12, but perhaps those poor non conference slates from Nov & Dec carried some predictive value?

Top two teams Houston and Iowa State are 4-0 and in the Sweet 16.

The other six schools are a combined 3-6... Four teams 6-9 seeds went 1-4.

The Big 12 was not good this year. It’s okay to admit that. Absolutely overrated all year. As always, has a title contender or two, but the “depth” this year was just from no one outside of ISU and Houston being worth a damn.

Interesting to compare the BIG-12 and ACC. While both have good teams at the top and bad teams at the bottom, the middle is the big difference

The 7 other BIG-12 NCAAT teams had much softer non-conference schedules compared to the equivalent ACC teams.
