I get the impression most behaviourists who practice ABA/ PBS do not care. More accurately, they can not perceive such actions as abuse due their ideology underpinning their work.
Elizabeth Warren @IngridWonders Alice Wong ABA causes language deprivation by wasting the time-sensitive L1 learning window on purely cosmetic behavioral changes. Manipulating a child's mouth with a plastic stick is not speech therapy. ABA techs are not well trained. These kids need SLPs and AAC.

I feel though there are so many layers (not required) where dollars could be saved. I've seen over the years increased inefficiencies. Therapy for any child or adult however much is warranted should be covered by OHIP.
