Local Bermondsey PC Kev Webster spotted a social media post about a man harassing lone women. He contacted the woman who had posted it, took a statement, used local knowledge + cctv to identify and arrest the suspect for breach of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Now remanded.

PCSO Durrant has been busy in the London Bridge area. He intercepted a trespasser using drugs in a stairwell who was wanted for recall to prison. He prevented escape until arrest by PC colleagues. The next day he detained a 'table surfer' phone thief until arrested.

Peckham neighbourhood officers recently executed two search warrants at 5am at local addresses. 40 rocks of suspected Class A drugs were thrown from a window as officers forced entry. 3 arrests ensued for supply & possession offences. Good teamwork by PCs Holmes, Miller & Poonia.

Camberwell officers recently intercepted & searched a man loitering near sheltered housing for vulnerable men. They found Heroin, Cannabis, electronic scales and 5 phones. Arrested. Peckham officers spotted, chased and arrested a man wanted for domestic GBH on his partner.

We are proud of PC Poonia from our Rye Lane, Peckham team. She recognised a woman on the street whom she had seen on a briefing several weeks earlier. The woman was wanted for recall to prison due to her offending behaviour since release. She was arrested and returned to prison.

Neighbourhood officers in Dulwich identified a burglar prowling gardens at night from cctv despite his face being obscured by a hooded top. Detectives then tracked him down across South London. He was located, arrested & charged with 3 burglaries + 10 thefts of Ring doorbells.

Peckham officer PC Downham was on bike patrol when a woman was robbed of her mobile phone. PC Downham anticipated that the suspects would sell the phone at a nearby shop. She guided cctv to the shop & went there. The suspects were seen there, arrested, knife + key evidence found.

Local officers in South Bermondsey followed up community info on stolen bikes and found 4 bikes chained in a stairwell. They identified one as stolen, undid the lock & seized all 4 bikes. The relieved victim will get her bike back. Investigation ongoing to ID suspect & owners.

Our Camberwell officers recently intercepted a man sitting in a car smoking cannabis with a lock knife hidden in his waistband. Arrested, charged and remanded in custody. Meanwhile Dulwich officers caught a disqualified driver riding a moped containing 10 big bags of cannabis.

PCSO Paul Durrant was patrolling a housing estate in the London Bridge SE1 area recently when told about a man using drugs in a stairwell. Paul swiftly intercepted him & established that he was wanted for two serious assaults in 2011. Paul detained him until arrest by colleagues.

PCs Lloyd & Ellis from the Old Kent Road team on foot patrol yesterday were flagged down by refuse collectors. The 3 operatives reported they'd been racially abused persistently while doing their job. The officers identified the man and made a swift arrest (& got more abuse).

On Wednesday one of our new Neighbourhood constables arranged & led 3 simultaneous search warrants in London SE1 following burglaries in which bicycles were stolen. 17 bikes were recovered which are believed stolen. A suspect was arrested and we're tracing the genuine owners.

Camberwell Neighbourhood officers have tracked down & arrested a man who attacked his ex-partner knocking her teeth out. He was wanted for contacting her directly, thereby breaching his court bail. He ran from the officers in his underwear and was arrested 3 streets away.

Southwark neighbourhood officers have organised two recent operations at key locations in the London Bridge SE1 area targeting illegal, dangerous and criminal use of e-scooters. They intercepted 62 riders and seized one scooter so far. More operations are planned.

Great vigilance by PC Rutter (Peckham Rye ward) on patrol with PC Wood in Peckham. They spotted a man behaving suspiciously and found he had a rock of cocaine, 3 wraps of heroin, a woman's bank card and was wanted for breach of a suspended sentence. Arrested for 3 offences.

In Lordship Lane SE22 yesterday a vigilant off duty officer saw a man distract an 82 year old woman to steal her purse containing £200 after she had just been to an ATM. The officer followed the suspect along 6 roads and guided colleagues to arrest him. Purse and cash recovered.

Our sharp-eyed Neighbourhood officers have been spotting wanted suspects again. In Camberwell PC Hall & PCSO Benn spotted a man wanted for assault + harassment. He was chased & arrested. PC Webster ditto in Bermondsey (suspect kicked his pregnant girlfriend & set his dog on her).

Criminals targeting over 60s at ATMs in Camberwell/Peckham. Please alert family members + friends of this age. Criminals watch the PIN number being entered & distract the user to take the card, suggesting that it was swallowed by the ATM. They withdraw £100s nearby in minutes.
