Wild how many of you who think you’d have hidden Anne Frank and Harriet Tubman won’t even publicly say the word “ceasefire” 7 months into a genocide of mostly children.

Apartheid began in both South Africa and Palestine in 1948. It officially ended in SA in 1994 and it’s unconscionable, indefensible, that the entire Western elite — and its puppets in our region — is trying to gaslight the world into thinking it’s still justified in Palestine

There’s a common misconception that its only Apple iPhones are exploiting Congo. All smartphones, electric vehicles, computers etc use materials sourced from Congo. What you can do is stop overconsumption of these items & advocate for companies to reevaluate supply standards.

The Society of Authors officially opposed a resolution calling for a statement in favour of a permanent ceasefire because they say it's outside their remit to be political? No. Opposing the motion IS political.

We should all feel sick that this resolution didn't pass.

The Congolese struggle is complex because it implicates all of us who are consumers & 'beneficiaries' of global capitalism. It's a direct confrontation to our 'performative activist' sensibilities. We all part of the mess, consentually or not, oblivious or not.

I cannot stop thinking about the choice to point guns at students who spent their entire childhoods training to survive too frequent school shootings and who are out protesting because students half way across the world are being murdered

America hates its kids so fucking much

Self-acceptance is key. Once you embrace and heal every part of yourself, you blossom. Also, being in the right environment. When you’re around people who understand you and reflect you back to you, you’ll be surprised by how open and animated you become

Fascism isn’t coming. It’s here. The so called temples of free speech are revealing themselves as what they are- fortresses of white supremacy
