As a book lover myself, one of the experiences that makes me happy is seeing students using their agency to request additional copies of the books they love.
Lu Gerlach Lu, my dear friend, this is happening now!
I have witnessed firsthand the power of Lu’s ideas and creative approaches to bring joy and learning alive in libraries. Our library at Bogaerts International School North Campus is steadily moving towards becoming an agentic space. Thank you Lu Gerlach
Publication alert! Excited to share the article I wrote with Sarah Jerasa & Brady Nash for National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)'s English Journal. In it, we explore how Ts can support Ss to navigate discourses, interpret texts, & design multimodal compositions for authentic audiences.

#thinchat2020 moment: At Bogaerts International School North Campus, transdisciplinary planning is a natural process of conversation and construction of ideas.
I am looking forward to presenting at Practical Pedagogies. I will be sharing the journey Bogaerts International School North Campus in the design and implementation of an intentional research skills curriculum.
Take a look at the program in this link pracped.net.
I would like to thank all the educators in the BENELUX region who attended our annual Job Alike Conversations at Bogaerts International School North Campus.
We were lucky to host highly engaging, reflective, and insightful conversations that allowed like-minded educators to connect!
Thank you Andri Snær Magnason for being so generous with your time and for speaking to our young readers at Bogaerts International School who have thoroughly enjoyed reading your book ''The Story of the Blue Planet' in French and Spanish.
You have definitely become a highlight for them.
At Bogaerts International School North Campus, we have designed an intentional research curriculum for MS and HS. In our first year of implementation, we are already noticing the amount of possibilities it has to re-shape the learning journey in secondary school.

Paying attention to the way students use creativity when taking part in different interactions can help to provide challenge according to their skills.
In this blog post, I reflect on aspects of an emergent curriculum in additional language learning.

I am always happy when teachers who've read my book share their experience as they personalise the experiences I shared in the 13+ scenarios in the book. Scenario 7 continues to be one of my favourites! #ConceptBasedLanguage #FromInceptiontoFruition
I am exploring explicit ways to capitalize on the reading experience, to make sure that students recognize and understand why I am asking them to engage with different texts.
Fearing that I may sound like Cher, do we believe in life after comprehension?
