Since October 7th 2023 the Labour party have had four opposition days with eight opposition motions. Eight chances for their own ceasefire motion. But when the SNP put forward a ceasefire motion the Labour party bully the Speaker to make sure they can change the wording.

Moreover, the Clerk of the Commons had explicitly advised against this departure from Standing Order 31 in writing, highlighting the potential for such a course of action to prevent the SNP from voting on their own motion on an SNP opposition day.
