I extend our deepest condolences to Pres. William Samoei Ruto, PhD, Kenya Defence Forces, and all Kenyans on the loss of Chief of Defense Forces General Ogolla and other victims in a helicopter crash today. Gen. Ogolla was a key partner in our strategic relationship and we will miss working with him.

We condemn the recent kidnappings of displaced persons in Borno State and school children & staff in Kaduna State, Nigeria. We stand with Nigeria in demanding the immediate safe return of these innocent civilians and call for perpetrators to be held to account.
