Pics from 2 day visit with RHS Herbaceous-plant committee to RHS Garden Wisley then Hortus Loci and a beautiful private garden in Hampshire. We saw new Piet Oudolf border, learned about current RHS P&D, taxonomy and environment work and saw many interesting plants RHS Herbaceous Plant Committee

Parterres - should they be filled with plants? Or are the hedging/topiary shapes and layout enough of a feature in themselves? I’m never sure about alll that empty soil myself, though I suspect there were originally more tulips in this one and they’ve been eaten. #gardening
