Hosta ‘Avocado’ in its green phase. Leaves develop a variegated pattern later on. One of the bigger, tougher hostas that don’t get eaten as quickly as more delicate ones, though it’s next to a hedge full of snails so there will be holes. #hosta #gardening

We watched this Nomada bee (a male Nomada flava?)yesterday climbing a stalk and ending up like this! Apparently this is how Nomadas sleep! He’s holding on with just his jaws! I find that absolutely amazing - never seen anything like it before 😳
