At least one person was killed after a tornado ripped through Barnsdall, Oklahoma, about 40 miles north of Tulsa, late Monday night.⁣

Good Sunday morning...Man...Texas can't catch a break from all the severe weather and flooding. More storms moving through parts of east Texas, already inundated with flood waters!

ECMWF calls for an extremely busy Atlantic #hurricane season with ~23 named storms, ~13 hurricanes and Accumulated Cyclone Energy 200% of normal (~250 total ACE) between June-November. Ensemble average calls for #LaNina and very warm Atlantic for Aug-Oct (peak of Atlantic season)

Some record highs could fall this week starting with the May 9th as high temps get into the mid 90s.

The heat is ON...or at least it will be in the Baton Rouge area next week. We could see highs in the mid 90s midweek! Too soon?

Good Friday morning...Showers and non-severe storms are moving towards Baton Rouge. Expect wet weather this morning, lingering into the afternoon, but highs only in the low 80s will be the silver lining.
