The heat is ON...or at least it will be in the Baton Rouge area next week. We could see highs in the mid 90s midweek! Too soon?

The one good thing about a rainy, dreary day like today.....The temperatures! Lower 70s as of midday in the Baton Rouge area. Trust me...you'll miss this next week...when we're expected to hit the mid 90s!!!

Good chance of showers/storms this Friday morning, with a level two slight risk of excessive rainfall. Most areas will receive less than an inch, but definitely pack the rain gear!

Good Friday morning...Showers and non-severe storms are moving towards Baton Rouge. Expect wet weather this morning, lingering into the afternoon, but highs only in the low 80s will be the silver lining.

Due to the emphasis place on the warm phase North Pacific Oscillation and persistence of El Niño into peak tornado season, the Team Dominator 2024 seasonal forecast for tornado count seems roughly on track - inactive Dixie Alley and return of the central/southern Plains! Video:

There is a level one marginal risk of severe storms this afternoon into early evening for the Baton Rouge area. Even though the risk is small, some lively storms should move through later today, stay ready.
