My dad’s favorite player.

He played from 1969-93, finishing at age 45. Caught 18,511.2 innings.

11x All-Star. 4th all-time in Sox HRs (214), 7th in RBI (762), 7th in oWAR (29.2). Has a statue at Comiskey, and the LF foul pole at Fenway is named after him. HOF in 2000.
