Excited to share Penzai, a JAX research toolkit from Google DeepMind for building, editing, and visualizing neural networks! Penzai makes it easy to see model internals and lets you inject custom logic anywhere.

Check it out on GitHub: github.com/google-deepmin…

Being able to interpret an model’s hidden representations is key to understanding its behavior. Today we introduce Patchscopes, an approach that trains to provide natural language explanations of their own hidden representations. Learn more → goo.gle/4aS5epd

Gemini 1.5 Pro's video understanding is the most underrated things in AI.

In ~50s, it 'saw' a 11min Youtube video (~175k tokens) of the most iconic moments in sport and was able to perfectly (to my knowledge) list all 18 of the moments.

There is no other video AI this good!

This article has some interesting and alarming data on warming trends in Antarctica. This graph seems very worrisome (I wondered what the total area was and later in the article it says 'Antarctica’s ice sheet covers 14m square kilometres').

Excited to share I’ve joined Google to lead product for AI Studio and support the Gemini API.

Lots of hard work ahead, but we are going to make Google the best home for developers building with AI.

I’m not going to settle for anything less.
