Strongly recommending this thoughtful essay by @JennaCEmbrey 'Everything in Moderation: Rethinking the Talkback'-- this is a much needed conversation that should be happening at every theater in the US.

Big ups to #NothingForTheGroup LH & @JennaCEmbrey for this week's #BillsBillsBills . Thx for shedding a light on what parents working in theatre & the arts go through. (spoilers: we are *barely* hanging on) nothingforthegroup.substack.com/p/bills-bills-…
@JennaCEmbrey The organization NO MORE 10 Out Of 12's was formed last year, and there have already been some theatre companies who have modified their production schedules. USITT has also been involved as well, and has hosted webinars. Only the latest graphic is new.

Steph qwerty klmnop Crime against Nature @JennaCEmbrey Claire Willett it's complicated! many Jews are not ethnically Jewish, many people who are ethnically Jewish do not practice the religion. That said, even many Jews who do practice the religion are simultaneously atheist. The framework is different from Christianity and has room for that.
Mitchell Ivers Talia Ringer 🟣 🎗️ @JennaCEmbrey Cool that you “like that sense” because it feels nice to you, but a Hebrew speaker literally just told you it’s incorrect. If you have further knowledge, feel free to contribute it- else you’re misappropriating a phrase in not-your-own culture to express something it doesn’t mean
Peter Marks @JennaCEmbrey Studio Theatre An outstanding play & exhilarating tale of 'revolution' from below - what happens when we simply recognize what's always been present. It was at the Ojai Playwrights Conference in 2019, and I'm still baffled it hasn't been more produced. It's a smart crowd-pleaser.
Talia Ringer 🟣 🎗️ Mitchell Ivers @JennaCEmbrey Adding to that: (in this context) 'for' and 'to' are both prepositions showing some sort of connection. Looks like Hebrew doesn't use seperate words for them
Steph qwerty klmnop Crime against Nature @JennaCEmbrey Claire Willett Ethnicity terms would be Mizrahi, Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Beta Israel, etc... that's more specific, but they are all Jewish ethnic groups so those ethnicities are still Jewish ethnicities.
