Two-barred Warbler finding plenty of food in the Lighthouse Grassland Flamborough Bird Observatory this morning, despite competition from a Pallas's Warbler & a Dusky Warbler! RareBirdAlertUK BirdGuides
Two-barred Warbler at the Lighthouse Grassland @flamboroughbird this afternoon. Unfortunately, it was only identified once photographs were processed this evening. RareBirdAlertUK BirdGuides.
Our colour-ringed shags are dying in this bad weather. We urgently need to find out who dies and where. Please walk beaches, photograph rings (don’t touch as flu is around) and email records to [email protected] David Steel Steve Dudley 🕷 Jared Wilson https://www.threads.net/@wilsonjaredm #ornithology #seabirds
Storm Babet is likely to have severely affected east coast shags. These could well be displaced birds from scottish colonies so please keep an eye out for them and check their legs for colour rings. [email protected] for sightings
Done. Please support the Flamborough Bird Observatory team doing great work for bird conservation, monitoring and connecting people with wildlife.
Can we remind people there is no access to North moor farm or any of the fields there for the Red-headed Bunting . Please keep to public/permissive paths so not to jeopardise our relationship with local landowners @birdguides RareBirdAlertUK
Red-headed Bunting-Please note that unfortunately there will be no access via St David Lane/North Moor Farm track from tomorrow.
Please do not try to see this bird on private land and jeopardise future access BirdGuides RareBirdAlertUK
