It's not that we should all be strong
It's that we choose weakness rather than meekness
Rather than soft and gentle
The choice is victimhood
Those, for whom strength is impossible
Should be as compliant as the reed in the wind
Yielding but never breaking
Malleable to chaos

I cannot decide, if
The shape of your mouth is
About to ask a question, or
Offer a suggestion.
Perhaps, a command.
I wouldn't hear anything
Transfixed by the parted lips
Their full, beckoning expression
You cause me to lose my senses and sensibilities.
I am dumbed by your...

Avoidance
You aren't busy
You're not in a hurry
You're afraid
You're insecure
Emotions ignored
Truth denied
And You're a liar
I see you
Deflecting feelings
Detouring thoughts
What you are is exhausted
When will you allow yourself to rest in honesty
When will you meet you head on

I'd break my ribs
gratefully give one up
if i thought that would make you whole
or, i'd snap one off that we'd be equal
no disparity to quibble about.
no lesser, no greater.
would the crack be a symphony to your ears?
you'd offer a rousing ovation
as i hand you the bloody bone

not enough
not even close
need/want so much more
not enough
not enough
can't you see?
this is no ordinary desire
and it's not about lust
it's about instigation
make me make
force creation from me
not enough!
more.
more.
MORE!

Sepia seduction
Diffused light
You sit on your bed as a throne
You are the morning goddess
The sun caresses you with adoration
I am captured in your shadow
Turn toward me your divinity
Allow me see you fully
That I might bow before your altar
That I might offer my prayer

She wore forest green
Her aura, a steamy summer night.
Now I dream feral dreams
Her scent, my wild
Her elusive, my madness
Though I imagine myself the hunter,
I know better.
I am hers the moment she wants me.
Are you hungry, huntress?

Support has legs
it if doesn't,
it's fair-weather, fickle.
how far do you travel?
do you only walk when it's easy?

you want a lie explained
how illogical
why attempt to rationalize falsehood
how do you explain fear
real or imagined
after all, that's why we lie
Fear
Of judgments, repercussions
let's not forget insecurity
if we need something explained,
it's forgiveness
we don't do it very well

i remember a song from back in the day.
at a club waiting for a band to play.
i can't remember the title
i've only heard it once
female singer and directions.
east, west, north, south
anyone know what song i'm talking about?
i recall it as sensual.
long, long time ago

Demanding volume.
'Hey You.'
and the resonance of loneliness
and the understanding of worms eating into my brain.
Feeling it.
Feeling it all.
And embracing all those feelings fully.
Unafraid of the pain
unashamed the tears.
would you hurt with me?
cry with me?
