Petty, counter-productive, pandering to prejudice.

UK universities bring the best students here, benefiting us all.

Alison Moore Dr Tony Goldstone Sandip Patel NHSE (in form of Powis) and NHS Confed/NHS Providers are complicit in constantly spinning things to make it seem like the delays/care gaps are all due to the strikes whereas they were all present before a single day of action
And Royal Colleges/AOMRC silent
(RCEM excepted)

Sandip Patel I do wonder if the message from the gov is 'everyone else has settled, it's only the bolshy juniors who haven't' and that is just getting repeated by the media.

Over the last few months, I haven’t met a single junior doctor (FY2) who is planning to stay on for training

They are either going to locum or going abroad

And after the appalling treatment by the NHS, the U.K. govt and some media outlets, who can blame them?

In September 2021, well into the covid vaccine era, when asked when the pandemic would be under control, Anthony Fauci said 'you've got be under 10,000 infections a day to feel comfortable.' Next week infections in the US will peak at 2 million per day

Junior doctor starting salaries around the world:

Australia: £60,000
Canada: £46,000
USA: £41,900
France: £43,700

UK: £29,384

Now tell me that the UK doesn’t undervalue its doctors?!

A 90-year-old housebound pensioner is convicted of not keeping up with his car insurance.

He doesn't have email, struggles to walk, can't write anymore & cares for a wife with dementia

In our flawed, secretive, fast-track justice system, this kind of prosecution keeps happening

England.
Go to your GP practice and there are no GPs.
Only PAs who completely break the rules and consult with a nurse practitioner.

The CQC and GMC should be all over this but as paid semi-quangos of the Tories, they turn a blind eye.

It's your health at stake, contact your MP

'What should we expect from a New Labour-style policy pledge card, and what changes need to take place to make the NHS a healthcare system fit for purpose once again?'

There is cash to pay NHS staff - junior doctors included - reasonable remuneration. And invest in key equipment. Instead it is being hoarded for tax cuts on March 6 and to bait the Labour party whether it will reinstate them as tax increases. It is a new low in partisan cynicism.

Find it absolutely incredible that on the day of the longest NHS strike in history the government chooses to put no one up for interview

Junior doctors walking out over pay- public sympathy is naturally with them - yet the govt doesn’t even bother to explain their position

Carol Vorderman Why isn't Paula Vennells in prison? What happened to all the money the sub postmasters put in to try and balance their books? Why have Fujitsu not paid compensation & why are they still being Gov't contracts?

A similar pattern here at this GP practice also in Norfolk . No PAs employed in March 2022, Since then they’ve reduced training for GPs and replace them with PAs . Independent PAs at that . No need to consult the GP at all . Dr Done

If 200 Israelis were murdered in the last 24 hrs, it would be the top headline on every mainstream US media outlet. But it's Palestinians getting killed, so it's nowhere to be seen on US networks. When the victims are invisible, it's easier for monstrous policies to continue.

The Pilger obituary in The Times is a very direct illustration of the sentence here in brackets. Some of the more shallow, snickery Times journalists will be happy with its cheap shots, but I guess it will remind the decent Times hacks of what's wrong with working for Murdoch

Stupid thing is Nicholson must have been at least partially aware that the intensified and wasteful “market” system forced on the NHS from 2005 was based on nothing but empty rhetoric and neoliberal ideology: but his “challenge” aimed to prop up this crap while cutting services.
