Those of us demanding a ceasefire for months warned of the dangers of such an escalation. Our Government ignored those warnings, greenlighted Israel's genocide, and then failed to condemn Israel's attack on the Iranian Embassy.

This framing from the British Foreign Secretary to-be, in deliberately eliding Israel’s continual illegal provocations against Iran, itself contributes to an escalatory spiral. Strategically irresponsible as well as ethically disgraceful.
