I don't care if the driver was 74, if they're drunk/on drugs and caused death by dangerous driving they should be in Jail and have their license permanently removed. But our warped judicial system will probably just give them a community service order. news.sky.com/story/tributes…

Chris Patten has just murdered the party of which he was Chairman. It’s all in here - the bilge of Brexit, the worst foreign policy error ever made, and the insanity of the right wing cult’s grip on this once great political machine. Pure gold, spread it.

Roger M Hoe is the Reform Party's candidate for parliament at the next election for Beverley Holness. Perhaps we should take a closer look at his previous tweets and stated opinions?

At what point did Department for Transport shift from a data driven to a populist approach?

Road danger reduction is a science not an opinion.

LTNs reduce pedestrian injuries by over 85% while 20mph speed limits reduce fatalities on our roads.

Remarkable chart from the FT showing that the British economy basically never recovered from the Great Financial Crisis. In the words of @MartinWolf_: 'In all, this is a disaster.'

New(ish): we’ve tallied that GB News has paid Tory MPs £660,000 in the last two years (and Labour MPs precisely £1,100) in another sign of how it is shaping the Tory narrative. Could a Paul Marshall-owned Telegraph entrench this populist echo chamber?

Any new tax cuts announced in the Budget would only offset part of the record-breaking increase in tax revenues this parliament.

Taxes this year will be around £66 billion higher than they would have been, had their share of national income stayed at its 2018–19 level.
