This morning the Command Elements for Batt 41 for Sinai was farewelled by Commander Joint Task Force, Brig Gen Manoa Gadai. The 15-member team led by Batt 14 Commanding Officer, Lt Col Saula Koro leaves our shores this morning for a 12-months long deployment.

Jeremaia Halaiwalu and his family from Namata Tailevu today had their sub division commissioned. A $2.9m development by govt consisting of tar-sealed road with underground utilities that came at no cost to the family. Now handed back to them as a revenue generating resource.

At the end of Day 2, Brig-Gen Gadai was accorded a traditional welcoming ceremony by Task Force Corimada. The General spent the whole afternoon mingling and socialising with the troops.
