If you are a Connecticut politician and you post a pun or reference to ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ on your official accounts, prepare to answer questions from me that will determine if you actually listened to the album or just followed the trend and had staff make the post.

What a bummer. Republican comms person said it perfectly at GBPI's conference (paraphrased): I don't understand the opposition to expansion except that Gov. Kemp has his own thing that he wants to protect

That program, last I checked, has enrolled fewer than 4,000 Georgians

When many of us stood with Israel in October to declare their right to defend themselves, this is not what we were talking about.

I do not support letting Israel drag the US into a world war just because it’s Netanyahu’s agenda.

This should be easy to say.

To provide additional context, Georgia Pathways launched on 7/1/23.

NC expanded Medicaid on 12/1/23—5 months later.

This is what NC’s enrollment numbers look like.

It’s 100s of 1000s vs a few thousand.

And Pathways is more expensive for Georgia than full expansion.

Kemp’s ego about his waiver attempt (3,808 enrollees! He said, just give it time) is the main reason hundreds of thousands of Georgians are going to wait at least another year for health insurance.

Imagine the countless personal tragedies that would be avoided this year alone.

One of Kemp’s weak areas on economic issues. Unions are popular (because they’re good for workers and good for democracy). This is one of the rare times for him that being so heavily chamber-aligned is a political liability.

I’ll quote tweet this man again tonight. Netanyahu has explicitly boosted Hamas in the past, to boost his hard-liner agenda. The resolution in question contradicted that reality. Is it really that hard?

When you gerrymander a map so completely that no senate seat is competitive, this kind of question is demonstrably only for show and nothing else

How big of a disaster is the AZ Supreme Court abortion ruling for the GOP? Vulnerable Rep. Juan Ciscomani is calling it a 'disaster' ... when two years ago, he cheered the Dobbs decision as 'historic' and said abortion policy 'should be set by states'

Arizona's 1864 ban could jail abortion providers for two to five years and makes no exceptions for rape or incest.

This is the direct result of Donald Trump's Supreme Court appointees overturning Roe v. Wade — which Trump just took credit for again.

Dreamed last night that I was with BTS on stage in the US to honor them with a resolution or something, and I was asked to sing some of their lyrics, but I didn’t know any. They took it as a great insult. I was humiliated.
