The fact that masturbation isn't centered within abstinence-only education shows the curriculum isn't about health, but about control, religious indoctrination, and false notions of 'purity.'

Exactly. Someone who makes a law based on their (false) belief that abortion is murder, is not gonna view it as 'actually not a murder' because it was incest or rape. And they certainly won't suddenly see the humanity of the pregnant person because said person is now dying.

The demographic of those who are child-free overlaps with the demographics who consistently vote for pro-child and feminist policies. By making parenthood less socially compulsory, those ostensible child-haters also made parenthood, and by extension childhood, better.

The 'is it ok to dislike children' discourse is Twitter perfection because it is insane from many different directions, but seems worth pointing out that the people who are actually the most awful to children as a class are routinely those who claim to really really love them.
