Just a week or so back Commissioner Holmes points out the inadequacies of our media and it’s courtiers … sorry, I mean journalists. Today, Paul Keating shows them up for their dull ignorance and their “bowing-and-scraping” to the interests of their right wing bosses.

What a pity Phil Coorey didn’t get a chance to ask Paul Keating a question at the #NPC today … if indeed Phil Coorey was able to attend today🤷‍♀️ I would have really liked to hear Phil Coorey’s question, and more so, Paul Keating’s reply 😁

I’ve just switched you off, ABC Melbourne 7.00 pm TV news. I’ve switched off, until you stop campaigning for the Victorian State Liberal Party. If you were campaigning for Labor, an Independent, or any political party, I’d switch off then as well😒. I’m now watching SBS news 👍

At 7.15 pm I could take it no longer. Tonight I had to switch off ABC Melbourne TV news. Their campaigning for the Victorian Liberals was unashamedly obvious. That ABC Melbourne would think its viewers so doltish as to not notice, is both laughable & insulting.

I wonder if #4Corners thinks we all have collective amnesia or the memory of a goldfish. The LNP didn’t lose Government just 4-months ago because of the awfulness of Scott Morrison alone 🤷‍♀️

Watching the ABC yesterday on the Queen’s passing - ie. Abbott, Howard, Downer, Scott Morrison who talked about “Jen & the girls”, Ita Buttrose who described Australia as a classless society - it occurred to me the ABC is now as lightweight & out-of-touch as the party it supports

For the second week in a row #4Corners program has slid around the “elephant-in-the-room”
▪️Last week it was the “ScottMorrison” effect on the LNP’s loss at the election.
▪️Tonight it was the effect of global warming & a changing climate for the horrific floods in NSW & QLD
🤷‍♀️

#COVID19Vic Dan Andrews again strongly urging Victorians to get tested IMMEDIATELY at the onset of symptoms - ie some who’ve tested positive waited 3 - 8 days. Media outlets don’t seem to be relaying this crucial message. ABC Melb mentioned it but briefly on last night’s news.

#COVID19Vic The past week or so the Vic team have URGED Victorians to get tested AS SOON AS they have symptoms - ie. a number testing positive in this current lockdown, waited 3 to 7 days before being tested. I haven’t seen any media outlet relay this crucial piece of advice😕🤷‍♀️

#COVID19Vic Watching today’s presser, I am struck by 2 things of journalists.
1). Questions are framed around their opinion of how things should be managed.
2). Basic ignorance. e.g:
Q. Which covid test is being used, the normal one or the PCR?
A. The PCR is the normal one.

For some of the journalists at the Victorian Press Conference today - from their questions, are they really that ignorant or just pretending to be that ignorant?🤷‍♀️. Either way, it’s an appalling indictment on journalistic standards in this current age 😩
