What do you think the mental health of the students who were attacked by the cops is like right now? And why did you effectively throw your support behind those attacks if you supposedly give a fuck about mental health

Why are the security guards doing nothing… not even calling LAPD?

Don’t turn away now. And dont forget these students are protesting a genocide. These students are asking their school to boycott and divest from a “country” committing genocide and this is how the other side is reacting.

Never been to the United Nations then. Or Washington Heights where Caribbean country flags fly out of windows every day. NY, one of the most proudly immigrant cities, with Ellis Island and all that, has OFTEN flown foreign flags. Including both Pal and Is. Go to a parade my guy.

Really crucial article putting dairy safety in perspective. Pasteurization inactivates the virus so pasteurized milk is safe to drink.

But raw milk is a different story entirely, as now it carries a serious risk of being loaded with infectious H5N1.

It’s interesting seeing the outlier universities not responding with violence to the student protests. Imagine actually sitting down with and listening to students…as opposed to escalating to violence immediately.

What a world.

People keep mentioning the 1968 occupation of Hamilton Hall (I suppose due to the number of students involved and arrested) and not the 1985 occupation which did lead to Columbia divesting from apartheid South Africa (both more recent and connected in goals).

About five years of work (and so many more threads to pull!). Just one snapshot of how our gut bacteria are evolving with our lifestyles.

It’s important to understand the community affected and to approach public health with systems thinking. Financial safety nets for workers, stigma protection for farms, etc.

I am learning that (at least some of) the students arrested at the encampment today have been suspended. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Any recommendations for low-cost legal counsel?

I see this is going to be a week of people trying me.
