We are currently seeing the change from Wurrkeng (cold weather season) into Kurrung (hot dry weather season).

Throughout this time, sea turtles lay their eggs on the sandy beaches of areas such as Field Island.

What a way to end the day 😍

There are many great locations to enjoy the sunset at Kakadu National Park. One of our favourites is Nawurlandja Lookout in the Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) region.

Which is your favourite sunset location at Kakadu National Park?

If you have ever visited the wetlands at Kakadu National Park, you may have been lucky enough to spot one of these magnificent water birds.
The Brolga is one of only two crane species found in Australia and is famous for it's courtship dance.

Crocodiles have sharp vision during day time ☀️, but they also have their own built-in night vision 🌙.

Crocodiles can even see underwater.

In local language, crocodiles 🐊 are called kingas (pronounced ging-us).

One of Kakadu’s most striking birds, the rainbow bee-eater can be found all over the park!

These pretty little birds are commonly seen darting about the open woodlands & paperbark forests that fringe Kakadu’s floodplains.
