Of course there will be agitators in any protest. Of course I abhor antisemitism (I have spent my career working against it). But these are protestors.

DO NOT SEND THE NATIONAL GUARD into universities

If you aren't lucky enough to spend lots of time with college students, maybe you don't know how earnest, smart, and resolute they are. I can tell you that I, for one, find hope every day I spend with them. They're inheriting the problems of the world. They deserve respect.

As a UW faculty member, I’m glad this was included in announcing the student protest encampment expected tomorrow: “As UW President Ana Mari Cauce noted, ‘Free expression and the right to protest are values that we support and protect as an institution committed to free speech.’”

This is why the Jewish community, should (despite obvious disagreements) stand up in solidarity with their daughters and sons that participate in pro-Palestinian protests on campuses and demand that Universities stop the arrests, and defend their right to protest peacefully!!
