It was sunny, not a cloud in the sky, about 5 minutes before I took this video. Within the hour, it was sunny again. Colorado locals know that they have to be prepared. Even when you’re doing well, make sure you push and find new ways to grow. Be prepared for the 'weather'!

Big day in Colorado Sports. The Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche, and Broncos are all tied for, or at least within striking distance of first place!

This is parody but the NFL did put a new kickoff plan in place. The NFL made a record amount of money last year. Why make any changes? There is always room for improvement. Progress is always change. Kudos to the NFL for making a better and safer game!

I am happy they restructured Tim Patrick’s contract and kept him around. Tim Patrick’s game as a wide receiver is team centered. He reminds me of Shanahan era wide receivers Rod Smith and Ed McCaffery with his willingness and ability to block on run plays, and his steady catches.

I'm sorry to see Justin Simmons was released by the Broncos today. Salary cap fallout from the Russell Wilson situation. Justin will be missed on the field and in the community. I hope he goes somewhere with a chance to experience playoff football and maybe win it all!

Russell Wilson isn’t a leader. The foolishness that went on in his first year at Denver with a private coach, his own office at the facility, and family at training camp when other players didn’t have those privileges, proved his self centeredness.

Broncos, when you make a mistake learn from it and move on.

The Broncos need to get some players out of this year's draft if for no other reason than rookies are cheaper than veterans. They are going to have to release some expensive players and will still be up against the salary cap. Go Broncos!

Thanks Wyoming Association of Municipalities and Justin Schilling for the opportunity to speak at your WAM Winter Conference. What an amazing gathering of community servants! It was fun to run into old friends and make some new ones at the reception and breaks between sessions.

Last week I was honored to join Broncos employees as we built and delivered a bunch of bicycles for low income kids in Denver. The charity is called Wish for Wheels. If you have a corporate or civic group who is interested in building some bikes for underprivileged kids.

I’ve heard people praising the Super Bowl this year as “the best ever”. That’s what’s known as recency bias. Games are lost by mistakes more often than they are won by excellent plays. That was the case in Super Bowl LVIII.
