Given all that is going on with MPs security, why would you post @keir_starmer - the Leader of the Oppostion's House? He has an office, that's what it is there for, not his home. This is not OK.

Hard not to feel sorry for the Speaker in all of this, who has a good reputation and record and seemed genuinely upset at how tonight ended. He’s found himself at centre of childish political game playing in a parliament now so election-focused it has lost touch with reality.

(not the main takeaway from today but my side take is that the threat of violence against MPs is increasingly informing the way they're doing their jobs, both in obvious ways and less obvious ones, and it's probably something we ought to be talking about quite seriously)

I’m extremely concerned by threats made towards a Jewish Chaplin at Leeds University. The Jewish student centre, Hillel House, has also been vandalised with antisemitic graffiti.

I condemn these abhorrent acts of racism. The campus must be made safe for the Jewish community.
