To put Ellie’s state record into context, Alice Schmidt of Elkhorn set the previous Class B record of 2:08.84 in 1999. Alice ran at UNC and then competed in one indoor Worlds, three outdoor Worlds and two Olympic Games.

So… Ellie ran faster than THAT Alice Schmidt.

This point difference is insane. So fun to follow along today ⁦Norris Track and Field⁩ !!
