P4 have been learning all about angles! We enjoyed going on an angle hunt to see how many we could find in the playground.

A busy morning of Literacy tasks in Primary 1 today. The Pandas group loved creating their own silly sentences using some picture cards.

Primary 3/4 have been developing confidence when using the racquet and shuttlecock to improve our skills in badminton 🏸

Primary 5 enjoyed using fairytales as a stimulus for writing yesterday. One pupil in particular was inspired to write 2 pages of his story, an alternative to The Ugly Duckling.

In maths P2 have been very busy learning all about direction. We now know all the points on a compass and followed these to help us find some treasure chests. Today we also created some fantastic maps and used the bee bots to practice giving directions. Super job P2 👏🏻✨

Last weeks P5 outdoor learning group worked so well together on “The Floor is Lava” challenge. They displayed great communication skills, team work and awareness of risk assessment #OutdoorLearning

Our fabulous Star Writers in Primary 1 this week 🤩⭐️✏️ We have all worked so hard on our independent writing and should be very proud of our success!

Primary 1 had an amazing day in the sunshine at National Museums Scotland yesterday. We can not stop talking about our day and sharing our favourite memories!

Primary 1 are exploring fractions. We have been finding one half of a shape and today we started to learn how to find one half of a number by sharing between 2. We had lots of fun doing this!

At lunchtime today our P2/3 pupils enjoyed their first Basketball session with Emma from NLTitans! ASC- Lauren Gilbert Coach Emma 🏀👩‍💻

Well done to this P1 boy who sequenced the story of The Good Samaritan and retold it in his own words. Mrs Tomney was very proud of you! 👍

A huge well done to this P7 pupil who competed at a Karate tournament over the Easter holidays and received a number of medals including gold and silver in the 12-14 age category. We are very proud of you 🥇🥈

We were entertained at our assembly this week by our school choir. Thank you to Cliff from New Craig’s Church for leading this. Congratulations to all our certificate winners. 👏👏

Primary 2 used the characters from ‘inside out’ to help us identify emotion tiggers linked to our emotion works programme. Great work P2 😊👏🏻

This afternoon primary 5 used a #NLTechTuesdays lesson to familiarise ourselves with the Chatterpix app. We created some characters and watched them come to life Digital Learning and Teaching NL

Primary 3/4 created their own 3D bunnies today 🐰 We used our prior knowledge of measure to help us create our models. Have a well deserved break everyone 😀

Primary 1 have had an “egg-cellent” morning designing and rolling our own eggs to demonstrate our understanding of the Easter Story. Afterwards, we had an Easter egg hunt in the class and played pin the egg on the bunny! Happy Easter everyone! 🐰🐣🥚

P3/4 have loved presenting and hearing about each others homework projects 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We have had a range of posters, books, PowerPoints and videos. Miss Hunter was blown away by how much time and effort has been put into everyone’s projects. Well done! 👏🏻
