This is another area that needs to be addressed. If you have previously been convicted on a serious crime, where you had taxpayer funded defence, then you can pay for your own defence if you are changed again.

If I had my way there would be no reading of notes in the Dail or very limited, reading to correct the record.
This is one reason why debate in the House of Commons is far superior.
