60th St. is closed in both directions between 30th Ave. and 26th Ave. due to a water main break. Please use alternate routes. Follow us on social media for any updates on the road reopening.

The Kenosha Police Department has responded to five deaths in the last two weeks that are suspected to be fentanyl overdoses.

Unfortunately we have learned that Fentanyl can be found in all forms of illegal drugs including marijuana. You don’t always know what you are taking.

Kenosha Police Department officers Cody Cox and Jacob Thorpe were honored by the State Assembly yesterday as 1st Responders of the year. They were nominated by State Representatives Ohnstad and McGuire for their heroic actions in rescuing an elderly man from a vehicle fire.

The Kenosha Police Department is currently working on a criminal barricaded subject in the 900 block of 52nd St. There is a large police presence, please avoid the area. The suspect is contained and there is no immediate threat to the public.

Washington Rd. and 39th Ave is back open.

Please avoid the intersection at 39th Ave and Washington Rd. The construction area has been compromised by the persistent rainfall. Large potholes have formed. Travel Safely!!

As Mother’s Day comes to a close, today also marks the start of National Police Week. 41 is the number of LE who have died in the line of duty, in the U.S., this year. Do not let their sacrifice be forgotten. Honor and Respect one another. We are all in this together.

Tomorrow marks two important days. While Mother’s Day is very important and should be celebrated, Deputy Katie Leising was a mother. KPD will always Respect, Honor and Remember those in law enforcement who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
