#DePortolaGTT is now knee deep in the Partscaster build. Almost done with the DIY kits. Dialing in some custom body designs this week in Onshape, a PTC Technology carving their own pockets and shapes on Carbide3d CNC when they return from break!

I have a Carbide3d Shapeoko 4xl, working on some guitar designs and we need to pick up a deeper end mill (1.5-2' flute) to get the pockets for the pots on the electric guitars. Any suggestions on a good end mill for deeper pockets? Pref 1/4' diameter?

Finally picked up Immersive Learning by Craig Frehlich from the library. About halfway in, and I am confident I'll be buying this as a resource for my SDSU-LDT class and making plenty of use of it to share use cases. May add on as required reading for 2025!

Wow, and yet another prophecy from the Simpsons! I actually do see value in this sim for industry training, don't think it would be cost effective/practical to buy VR and the app just for the training. I am going to share this with an actual landscaping business for impressions.

Some perspective on the CSU strike. As a lecturer teaching in the LDT master's program my current salary to teach one class this semester is about $5000. Opportunity cost, I had to turn down, a K-12 Lego program 2 day/wk * 10wks (20 hours) paid $1000 more!
