Wow Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) just raised the minimum salary of postdocs to $65k a year. That’s a ~$10k increase from the previous minimum. That’s incredible! This will go a long way towards combating the rising cost of living in the Greater Boston area.

A message heard from 'minoritized' communities -
'Nothing for us, without us' or 'Nothing about us, without us, is for us'.
Meaning: that research and policies conducted or designed without the leadership and involvement of 'us' can never truly benefit 'us'.

very frustrated with the lack of info on the logistics of postdoc to faculty transition. And the difficulty in getting info. I lost a large chunk of grant money, still waiting in limbo and new job starts in two days. Could've all been avoided if a little more info was provided
