All of our ski trails are now open. We groomed the Blind Bay trails Feb 16 for skate skiing, but the snow is too thin to set tracks. The classic trails on the recreation trail, Harold Point and Granite Saddle are skier set.

Still lots of open water at Granite Saddle.

Yippee - the perfect forecast for the Family Day weekend! 10-15 cm of new ❄️ should let us reopen 5 km of ski trails in Blind Bay campground. While all our winter campsites are reserved for this weekend, you can still come for the day to ski, hike or snowshoe. #winterKillbear

Sadly our snow is getting pretty thin. The last 500 m of ski trail on the recreation trail near Lighthouse Point is closed because of bare patches. Trails in Blind Bay have the most snow.

The shoreline hiking is spectacular, but DO NOT GO ON THE ICE! It's very dangerous

Ski trails are groomed and the snowshoeing is fantastic!

So we're trying to keep up, but this is what it looks like when we have 7 days of snow in a row! We will pack the trails (again) this afternoon and set tracks tomorrow.
