The colour difference contrasts windthrown trees (dark) w/ live standing trees (light).

This isn't fire management. This is commercial logging.

And this is why one very good reason why we need to protect old hollow trees... 💚

This Greater Glider woke up in the middle of the day, had a stretch & looked out at the world below its tree hollow 🌳

They are nocturnal, so it's fairly rare to see them awake outside of their dens in the daytime ☀️
