Honestly, why do people support Archives of Sexual Behavior as a leading (relatively speaking) journal? The bar they consistently use for reviewing transphobic research and opinion pieces is basically the floor.

Today we Movement Advancement Project released a new report covering bills attacking #transgender people's access to #healthcare in recent years. While most bills target youth, we show how the bills have become more extreme, illustrating their true goal: ending medical care for *all* trans people.

We should call the targeting of trans youth what it is: just pure evil masquerading as concern. We know that kids will die because of these cruel policies and these attacks on their dignity. People of good conscience cannot be silent on these issues.

Remember when conservative media defended this law entirely on the basis that “young children” in K-3 shouldn’t hear about gender or sexuality in school? Now it also applies for all the way through high school.

Personal statements ask us to open up about our journey only to later use our experiences as weak points to justify our exclusion. When we share our confidence in ourselves it's painted as cockiness and pride. When we share our struggles we are blamed for them. How do we win?

When I started practicing law 13 yrs ago, categorical bans on care were clearly understood to violate the 8th Amendment's prohibition on Cruel & Unusual Punishment in prisons.

I can’t adequately express my enthusiasm about this piece. It challenges us to take a step back to consider issue of polarization from a perspective that accounts for inequality and hierarchy. It’s a long overdue and necessary intervention in this literature and in the discourse.
