Yet Vučić continues to be the cornerstone of the US/EU containment policy in the region 🤷🏼‍♂️

For the second year in a row, ’s top policy recommendation is to support and defend Ukrainian sovereignty and democracy.

We must all stand resolutely at Ukraine's side as they ward off authoritarian aggression.

In the 'Nations in Transit 2024' report by @FreedomHouse, Serbia's democracy score has recorded the largest decline in the past decade & among all 29 countries covered by the study.

This significant drop is mainly driven by numerous electoral irregularities in the Dec elections.

And by “reinforcements” I mean they’re there only for exercises, not permanently, since the EU maintains that EUFOR can do its job with its current troop strength and that the security situation hasn’t changed in recent months.

Amazing to be nominated for an Engagement and Place Award in the Engaging Globally category for our project In Place of Maps that creates a new atlas of Bosnia and Herzegovina with young people making maps of the state at mapping workshops coordinated with the help of Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC)

The Greens/EFA voted against this decision. These passports are being instrumentalised by Vucic to uphold a parallel institution and prevent successful integration of KS-Serbs. It would be a very wrong decision if the EU legitimizes this through visa liberalization.

Mind-boggling decision by LIBE Committee Press that undermines integration efforts in northern 🇽🇰 and rewards 🇷🇸 for sustaining parallel structures.

Kharkiv. In peacetime home to over 1.4mn, about the size of Munich, Milan or San Antonio. A university & industrial city. A tech hub. Good beer.
Russia is destroying day by day, bomb by bomb. Our leaders are letting them. Call your lawmakers & demand more air defense aid

For 5 months, Speaker Mike Johnson has said he supports against . But, apparently out of fear of losing his job, he has done nothing. That has meant greater Ukrainian casualties and retreat.

It's time for Johnson to act. My piece in The Hill.

Only seeing this now. Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur oPt should cancel her appearance rather than giving Putin asset Clare Daly a chance to pretend she cares about Gaza (just two months ahead of elections to the European Parliament).

Putin has threatened to station more soldiers at the Finnish border in response to Finland joining NATO.

What soldiers?

The Finns know the Russian armed forces have no capacity for such an undertaking.
