In the 'Nations in Transit 2024' report by @FreedomHouse, Serbia's democracy score has recorded the largest decline in the past decade & among all 29 countries covered by the study.

This significant drop is mainly driven by numerous electoral irregularities in the Dec elections.

Within a couple of days this week, France sends a battalion to Bosnia and Herzegovina, under threat from Serb secessionism; sells 3 billion euros worth of fighter jets to Serbia; and allows Putin puppet, Republika Srpska President Dodik to be fêted in Paris.

And by “reinforcements” I mean they’re there only for exercises, not permanently, since the EU maintains that EUFOR can do its job with its current troop strength and that the security situation hasn’t changed in recent months.

The Greens/EFA voted against this decision. These passports are being instrumentalised by Vucic to uphold a parallel institution and prevent successful integration of KS-Serbs. It would be a very wrong decision if the EU legitimizes this through visa liberalization.
