Padres 6, Blue Jays 3, final. The Jays issued nine walks, hit a batter and made two errors (including a catcher's interference) in a sloppy finale.

The Blue Jays still win 2 out of 3 to take the series. Now, they head to Kansas City.

Nate Pearson just walked Xander Bogaerts with the bases loaded to force home another run.

That's twice today a Blue Jays reliever has issued a walk with the bases loaded.

Oh boy. Daulton Varsho hits a ground ball the right-field line and the ball girl came out and touched it. She thought it was foul.

It's a ground-rule double for Varsho. Might have had potential to be more if she hadn't touched it.

And now Jansen is charged with catcher's interference, pushing another run home for the Padres.

It's 4-2 San Diego.

Jackson Merrill hits a little nubber in front of the plate with the bases loaded. Richards races off the mound, barehands it and flips it to Danny Jansen for the forceout at the plate.

PFP's paying off there. Padres still have the bases loaded, two outs now.

Chris Bassitt's day is done after he gives up a single and a walk with one out in the sixth.

Trevor Richards on to pitch for the Blue Jays. He'll try and escape the jam with Ha-Seong Kim and Jackson Merrill due up for the Padres

The Padres had the bases loaded, one out and Fernando Tatis Jr. at the plate in a tie game.

Davis Schneider jumped up to grab Tatis' liner at second base and stepped on the bag for an inning-ending double play.

Blue Jays 2, Padres 2, end 5.

Ernie Clement goes up to get a fastball above the zone and whacks it into the second deck of the Western Metal Supply Co. building.

That makes it 2-1 Blue Jays here in the third inning.

And Jurickson Profar, who swung at a pitch that hit him, just got picked off of second base by Chris Bassitt to end the inning.

Ooof. George Springer straight up misses a ground ball single into right field by Manny Machado and the ball rolls all the way to the track. That allows Jake Cronenworth to score from first, it's 1-0 Padres.

I have to say, with the renovated Gallagher Square and some of the new food options, I think Petco Park has moved up to the No. 1 stadium in MLB.

I used to have Oracle Park (SF) and PNC Park (PIT) ahead, but I think Petco has made the leap.
