Are you interested in the history of housing activism in Tower Hamlets?

If so, our library editions of ‘Flash Point – News Bulletin of the Stepney Squatters’ from 1973 are a great resource for researching the fight for decent housing and tenants’ rights.

This week we were saddened to hear that Steve Harley had passed away.

Best known as the frontman of Cockney Rebel in the 1970s, before that he'd been a journalist for the East London Advertiser, and was the first reporter on the scene during the Stepney School Strike in 1971.
