The LCHS Fine Arts Department recognized eight seniors pursuing the Fine Arts at the collegiate level at our second annual Signing Day. We have some of the best performers, musicians, and artists in the state! We are so proud of our seniors!
Academic UIL is a great way to compete and earn scholarship money. Two LCHS students recently competed in the regional UIL competition, and Ritodoy will be moving on to State Competition in May!
Caution! Most front entrances to the LCHS campus will be closed today. TxDOT plans to complete driveways in time for entries/exits to be opened for afternoon pick-up, but it's not guaranteed. Consider using the back (north) side of the building, use caution, and allow extra time!

Nine LCHS teams competed at FCCLA State in Dallas April 11-14. Four teams made top 5 in their event with TWO getting first place + moving on to Nationals in Seattle in June. We also had three designs featured in the Fashion Show, one taking home the prize of best featured design!
Congratulations, Tanner Hurd! He received the Phoenix Award last week, a scholarship that will be applied to his welding degree at South Plains College.

Congratulations, Graciella De La Cruz! Gracie has successfully completed all requirements set forth by the Texas Real Estate Commission to be a licensed sales agent in Texas! She is our second student of the school year in the LCHS Real Estate Program to achieve this success.
Construction I and II students built a playhouse to donate to Casas for Casa. The organization will raffle it off to fundraise for their Casa Advocate to support children in foster care.
The LCHS Winterguard performed at both the NTCA Waxahachie and Southlake Carroll competitions. They earned First Place at Southlake Carroll and will be pushing on to Championships after Spring Break! Congratulations, Pirates!
Make plans to visit Lubbock's First Friday Art Trail tomorrow night, and stop by the LHUCA Ice House. Several LCHS art students will have their Gold and Silver Key winning entries on display.
