One year ago today, Diane Abbott had the Labour whip suspended.

Starmer's 'investigation' into her is a sham.

Diane Abbott has been suspended from the PLP for 365 days - without even being given a hearing.

None of the possible explanations for treating Britain's first black woman MP like this - incompetence, malice, contempt for due process, racism - is a good look for Starmer's Labour.

What is this world.

There is no such thing as “a sick note culture.” There is a record high NHS waiting list, crippling housing costs, widespread food poverty, stagnant wages and inadequate benefit rates, a broken social care system, dire mental health services, and closed Sure Start centres.

More damage was done in this drone attack by Israel on a playground in the Maghazi refugee camp than Iran’s attack at the weekend. It killed 11, mostly children. Yet it’ll be a mere footnote at best. That’s the value our media places on Palestinian lives.

Britain is actively participating in a war - without any parliamentary or public debate.

With Starmer and Sunak issuing almost identical statements tonight, we appear to have become a one-party state with a foreign policy that has no moral compass or basis in international law.

Nothing says “tough” quite so much as telling millions of people you’re willing to order their deaths from a concrete bunker.

So tough.

To give you an idea of the size of Gaza, it takes 10 hours to walk from the north to the south, about the same as from Newcastle to Hartlepool. 45,000 bombs were dropped by Israel into that tiny space, just in the first 3 months. This is what collective punishment looks like.
