Most academic research is neither right- nor left-waning; however, as this excellent critique of Bill 18 points out, it does involve critical thinking, which according to the Premier of my home province, is undesirable and this now consisted left-leaning.

It turns out I never “came out” to my mom as queer and can now tick that off my to-do list. Look at me, getting things done, even if somewhat unintentionally and very haphazardly.

As someone further galvanised in my trans-inclusive practices from my work teaching the poetry and memoirs of the AIDS crisis, I would urge you to read this excerpt from Epstein’s book that problematises claims to “objective” research when “patients” ≠ just “research subjects”.
