The people we support at Kisharon Langdon really enjoy their weekly gardening club. Even though the weather wasn't too good today, that didn't stop members so they did their planting indoors!

On Sunday, over 60 audience members made up of family and friends watched the Kisharon Langdon drama group’s performance of Annie. The cast worked so hard rehearsing every Thursday for months taught by drama teacher Emma and they certainly gave everyone an outstanding show!

This week, as part of our Jewish cultural activities, members went to the local park to pick up litter and learn about helping the environment - tikkun olam - which is a very important Jewish value.

Each week, members have the opportunity to come along to our new Science Workshop where they can do simple and safe experiments. This week the people we support were looking at colours and shapes with the aid of sweets and water which made it so much fun!

At the Kisharon Langdon Chanukah party the people we support had a fantastic time lighting the candles, singing songs and dancing to live music from Yuval Havkin and a disco run by members Daniel and Ben - everyone had such fun!

The people we support at our Day Opportunities scheme have been busy painting dreidels and carefully packing dreidel playing chocolate coins for the Social Enterprise Team which will be sold at Kisharon Langdon’s Gifts & Homeware Store

Pupils at Kisharon Noé School attended a really fantastic Chanukah Making workshop where they could be creative making things from recycled materials. It was very impactful educationally by demonstrating how anything can be useful, reused and given a new life.

Members in Manchester are really enjoying making wax melts at their Arts & Crafts session and they also had the chance to make lovely smelling bath bombs everyone is so creative!

At their recent Healthy Eating class, members chose to make a hearty minestrone soup. It looks absolutely delicious and full of healthy vegetables and pasta, what a tasty meal and a great night was had by all!

Today we honour the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
We remember Jewish servicemen and women who fought and served for our freedom and commemorate everything the UK has done for Jewish community.

As part of our Jewish culture programme, members asked to make delicious savoury challot in this week’s Cake & Create session after enjoying making regular challah bread a few weeks ago. They look fabulous!

In arts and crafts class, Members made photo frames and inside wrote motivational statements to help with their mental health. We make sure our social care programme has a purpose behind it to support our Members health and wellbeing.

Last week in Manchester, Members had a very varied choice of sessions they could get involved in. They had great fun playing board games and painting the air-dry clay mushrooms they made the week before. A very content group took part in yoga which they found relaxing.

Members can come along to our Cake and Create sessions run by our Jewish Life & Learning Co-ordinator, Emma, as part of our Jewish culture programme. This week they beautifully decorated kiddush cups and Orli made a challah cloth with lots of individual gems which looks amazing!

Members in Manchester enjoyed lots of different arts and crafts sessions! They used air-dry clay to create decorative mushrooms for the garden, for our Bee-Spoke stall at Bygone Times, Members created wax melts and our new rabbits were spoilt by some artwork for their hutch.

This week, as part of our Health and Wellbeing programme, Members had the opportunity to take part in a workshop with Sue our Senior Social Worker and Debbie our Head of Social Care Programming on understanding parents and grandparents who are dealing with Memory Loss.
