Exciting that CD19 CAR T cells are being tested in multiple sclerosis. Wouldn't it be great if we could more specifically target EBV-infected B cells?

Hope that this means more funding for #LongCovid research including the contribution of persistent virus reactivation such as Epstein-Barr virus.

Today marks the 60th anniversary of the publication of the paper describing the discovery of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), the first virus shown to cause cancer in humans.
EBV is also implicated in multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases.
