Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum will seek a temporary restraining order against U.S. Border Patrol and other federal agencies, to stop them from detaining Portland protesters. Story coming.

She also announced that the Oregon Department of Justice will open a criminal investigation into the July 11 injury of Donavan LaBella, who a U.S. Marshals officer shot in the face with a munition. Federal officer could face Oregon criminal charges.

The best way to honor John Lewis & C.T. Vivian is not with statements or even renaming the Edmund Pettus Bridge. We must restore & expand the Voting Rights Act. We must insist members of Congress (including Mitch McConnell) actually get this done. Anything less is shameful.
