It’s been a slow decline for Twitter over the past few years. It was very important for me for a long time. But lately all it does is cause me pain. There’s much less meaningful engagement and little kindness. I’m not saying good bye to Twitter/X, just see you later.

BREAKING: A federal judge just granted our request to temporarily block Texas’ drag ban from taking effect Sept. 1.

Drag performers and LGBTQIA+ allied businesses belong in our state — and Texas politicians have no right to censor our free expression.

GOOD NEWS: Texas’ book ban #HB900 targeting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC stories will NOT take effect Sept. 1.

When students are denied access to books, they’re denied the opportunity to learn about themselves and the world around them.

This is a major win for students’ futures.

If you ban the medical treatment that some one has agreed to pursue in consultation with their parents and doctors, kick them off their soccer team, ban teachers from using their name, and force them into a less safe bathroom, you don’t get to pretend you’re doing them a favor.

Canada has issued a travel advisory for LGBTQ+ travelers to the United States, citing hostility in certain states, laws that target LGBTQ+ people and trans people in particular, and a threatening political climate.

This is what it has come to.

I am sad to report that on Monday, trans youth will no longer be given access to gender affirming care, and trans prisoners will be forcibly medically detransitioned.

A judge in Missouri (important note: state not federal court) denied an injunction.

BREAKING: A Texas district court just ruled that trans youth — like all Texans — have the right to get the life-saving medical care they need.

No one should have to go to court to defend their right to exist. We won’t stop until this cruel ban is permanently struck down.

The quality of our care should reflect our shared humanity, undiminished by difference.

New Scientific American article blows the claims that being trans is a “social contagion” and “rapid onset gender dysphoria” out of the water.

On average, most trans teens know for 4 years before coming out. Many for 8-9.

Being trans isn’t contagious.

The most terrifying part of the 11th circuit ruling is that they pretty directly state adult care bans for trans people would be constitutional.

This is a 5 alarm fire for all lgbtq people in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

med students (and physicians), i promise the comparison game is always a losing one. don't fall for it. take care of yourself, take care of your patients, and take care of your team. direct any residual angst/ire toward insurance companies and institutions obstructing our oath.

Trans people just keep winning!

The 9th CIrcuit Court of Appeals has ruled that transgender athletes have likely a constitutional right to compete, and that discrimination against them is likely a form of sex discrimination.

This will have big effects in Idaho and Montana!
